Privacy Policy

This page explains what data this site collects, why, and how Google AdSense (if and when it's enabled on this site) uses cookies to show ads.

What this site collects

The calculator itself collects nothing about you personally. Everything you type — your area, amounts spent — stays in your browser and is used only to run the calculation on the page. Nothing is sent to a server or stored anywhere except your own device.

Local storage

This site remembers the area/tariff you last selected using your browser's local storage, so it's already selected next time you visit. This stays on your device only, is never transmitted anywhere, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

Google AdSense and cookies

This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. If so, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

Third-party links

This site's WhatsApp share feature opens a link to WhatsApp with a pre-filled message. We don't see or store what you send — that happens entirely within WhatsApp, governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

Accuracy of tariff data

Tariff figures on this site are drawn from publicly published municipal and Eskom tariff schedules and are provided for estimation purposes only. This isn't an official billing tool — see the disclaimers on the calculator itself for details on data sourcing and confidence.
