Reporting an incorrect figure

If the calculator gave you a number that did not match your actual purchase, that is genuinely useful to know. The most helpful report includes:

Your suburb and municipality
The rand amount you spent
The units you actually received
Roughly how much you had already bought that calendar month

A photo of the prepaid receipt covers most of this in one go.

Requesting your municipality

South Africa has roughly 180 licensed municipal electricity distributors and coverage is being expanded over time. If your area is not listed, send the municipality name and it will be added to the queue. Areas that get requested most often are prioritised.

If you have a link to your municipality's published tariff schedule, including it speeds things up considerably.

What this site cannot help with

units.co.za is an independent calculator. It is not affiliated with Eskom, NERSA or any municipality, and it cannot:

Sell you electricity or reissue a lost token
Resolve a billing dispute or meter fault
Access your municipal account
